Abuja, Nigeria — The 2025 National Youth Day Celebration, hosted yesterday in Abuja by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, brought together youth leaders, development partners, and continental youth organizations to commemorate the strength and innovation of young people across Nigeria.

At the event, Amb. Oladele John Nihi was present not as a representative of OJN Foundation, but in his official capacity as the Vice President, Pan-African Youth Union (PYU) for the West Africa Region, serving as one of the hosts of the celebration.

The OJN Foundation was formally represented by Miss Deborah Ojima Edoh, the Director of Partnership and Foundation Secretary, who attended on behalf of the organisation to reinforce its commitment to youth empowerment and development-driven collaborations.

The event was led by Hon. Ayodele Olawande, Minister of Youth Development, who emphasized the vital role of Nigerian youths in national transformation.

Held under the theme “From Aspiration to Action: Youth as Agents of Reparative Justice and Sustainable Development,” the celebration encouraged young people to translate ideas into impactful action across innovation, civic engagement, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.

The active participation of PYU, alongside national stakeholders and youth-focused organisations like the OJN Foundation, underscored the importance of continental partnerships in building a more inclusive and sustainable future for young Africans.
